The Follett FREF49-LB-OSD is a premium 49.5 cubic foot solid door laboratory refrigerator designed to meet the rigorous storage demands of medical, research, and scientific facilities. Equipped with an innovative top-mounted modular Complete Refrigeration System, this unit efficiently maximizes internal storage capacity by keeping mechanical components outside the main compartment. Operating on low GWP R290 refrigerant, the system delivers rapid temperature recovery and consistent, uniform cooling across the cabinet to safeguard highly sensitive materials.
Engineered for lasting durability and hygiene, the full steel exterior offers superior protection against rust and corrosion, while the antimicrobial interior finish supports a highly sanitary environment. Operators have total command over the climate with an intuitive microprocessor control and digital display, ensuring precise adjustments to meet exacting requirements. Security is maximized through heavy-duty solid doors equipped with key locks and a comprehensive suite of audible, visual, and remote alarms. Built with high-density, non-HFC polyurethane insulation, this ENERGY STAR certified refrigerator provides exceptional efficiency alongside uncompromising reliability.
Key Features:
Top-Mounted Refrigeration: The modular Complete Refrigeration System is housed externally to optimize internal storage space and utilizes environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant.
Microprocessor Climate Control: Operators can easily manage temperatures from 1 to 12 degrees Celsius using the digital interface, which arrives factory preset at 4 degrees Celsius.
Complete Alarm Monitoring: The system includes visual and audible alerts for high or low temperatures and open doors, alongside dry contacts for external remote alarming.
Robust Door Construction: The heavy-duty solid doors come equipped with secure key locks, self-closing torsion rod hinges, and full-length ADA-compliant handles.
Sanitary Interior Design: An antimicrobial interior finish pairs with energy-efficient LED lighting and eight full, epoxy-coated shelves to maintain clean and visible storage.
