Safeguard sensitive research materials and biological samples with the Follett Scientific FFZR49-LB-RSD 49.5 cubic foot upright laboratory freezer. Designed for demanding scientific environments, this spacious unit utilizes a powerful, top-mounted Complete Refrigeration System. It employs environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant to deliver high-volume airflow, ensuring rapid temperature recovery and consistent cooling across all levels. The modular design of the refrigeration system also maximizes usable storage space within the cabinet, allowing facilities to store more product efficiently.
Constructed to withstand the rigors of a busy lab, this freezer features a durable, rust-resistant full steel exterior and a hygienic, white-painted antimicrobial interior. Temperature management is straightforward thanks to a microprocessor controller with a digital display, which allows for precise adjustments between -10 C and -25 C. To protect valuable contents, the unit is equipped with a secure cylinder key lock, audible and visual alarms for temperature fluctuations or ajar doors, and dry contacts for remote monitoring. The freezer is also highly energy efficient, featuring 2.60-inch thick insulated stainless steel doors, foamed-in-place high-density insulation, and ENERGY STAR certification.
Key Features:
Generous Capacity: The 49.5 cubic foot interior comes standard with eight epoxy-coated shelves to easily organize and store large volumes of materials.
Precise Temperature Management: A microprocessor controller with a digital display provides accurate, programmable temperature settings from -10 C to -25 C.
Modular Refrigeration System: The top-mounted refrigeration system uses low GWP R290 refrigerant to provide powerful cooling while maximizing interior space.
Comprehensive Security Monitoring: Built-in dry contacts allow for third-party remote monitoring of door ajar and high or low temperature alarms.
Durable Lab-Grade Build: Constructed with a full steel exterior to resist corrosion, heavy-duty dual casters, and a white antimicrobial interior.
Energy Efficient Operation: This freezer reduces operating costs with ENERGY STAR certification, high-density insulation, and LED lighting.
